Q: Which is better for people with larger and taller bodies? An Infiniti QX4, or a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Infiniti- 2002
Jeep- 2003
A: not sure about the Infiniti but for the Jeep 2003 I do know there is plenty of room for a larger driver and rider in the passenger seat... not much room in the back seat... almost to the point of being squished!

Q: I'll be getting a suv around July of 2008 and want your advice on what it should be? Please read/Thanks?
Ok I am 19 yrs old and am currently saving up the vast bulk of my money to purchase my self an suv which would in fact be my very first vehicle. I currently drive my mother's car which is a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo sedan, which is by the way good on gas. I actually planned on getting it in Match with my job as a mail handler for the USPS making $ 13.00 per hour as a casual, but the way the permanent employees, and supervisors, and my own supervisor treated myself and a few others, I resigned, no job is worth that garbage USPS or not. I am now a security guard making $ 8.00 per hour which is not that bad. It will now take me 4 months longer to get my suv, which is fine by me as long as I get one. I plan on saving up $ 12,500, $ 12,000 being for the suv, and the $ 500.00 being for tax, title, license, registration, etc... I may buy a 2002 Infiniti QX4, a 2003 Lincoln Navigator, 2002 Toyota Sequioa, or something similar within that range. Advice.
A: No offense but why does a 19 year old need to spend that much money for such a high end SUV? Have you called around to see how much your insurance will be? The fuel economy is terrible! At at $8 you'll barely be able to keep yourself in insurance and fuel. Each one of the vehicles you named will cost you somewhere around $70 to fill and each gets WAY less then 20 MPG. How long have you been driving and did you take drivers education? Because until your 25, married or have kids your insurance will be ghastly!
And even w/ a payment of $12,5k (not sure what state you live in because I'm in Washington and $500 wouldn't pay the tax on one of those vehicles alone. Oregon has no sales tax so you would only need less then $150 to register, tag and title) ok, back to my comment. Aren't the SUV's your looking at cost over 40k new and not sure there resale prices but $12k won't cover it they probably all run in the high 20k-30k used.
So, can you afford a car payment of over $500 a month?
Why don't you use that money and buy something flat out? You need to seriously think about what you need w/ fuel economy, size etc (unless you are a soccer coach or have a family of your own do you probably need a 6+ seater yet?)
Your 19, why don't you look into buying a VW Jetta, Honda Accord, Honda Civic or if you really need an SUV what about a Honda CR-V or Toyota Rav-4, a Jeep? So many vehicles out there more befitting someone your age and living barely above minimum wage.
Of course these are all just idea's and suggestions and your going to do whatever you've decided anyways. But, when I was 19 if i would have had 12 grand saved up I probably could have purchased about 4 cars! Yeah they were used but they all got great gas mileage, tires or a tune-up didn't cost me 3 months wage to take care of. Even today I could probably get 2 really nice cars w/ 12k or 1 really nice one and set up my garage w/ a spare set of tires, a spare set of snow tires, have money in savings for emergencies and pay my insurance for the whole year!!
And also since your looking at used SUV's that are (based on 2008) 5 to 6 years old have you done research on there repairs, there recall history and everything along those lines. Because of there makers probably not one would have any existing manufacturers warranty left so everything you do would be out of pocket.
Good luck when you finally go and makes this purchase. Cause goodness forbid your broke down on the side of the road and can't afford to fix it!
Q: 2 BRAND NEW tires put on my car..that day..the back wheel FELL OFF at 70mph!! What should I do next?
Here's the scoop, I was in basically an emergency situation, I had to get 2 new tires on my car and I had to get them that day. I was going on a long trip to help my family move out of the house that got foreclosed (unfortunately). Time was of the essence...I went to a "certain" tire place and received two brand new tires to replace my used ones up front, they rotated them to the back. about 200 miles down the road (that same day) One of the back brand new tires fell off the car, yes FELL OFF. Thank God it was 2a.m. and not that many cars on the highway, I saved it from slamming into the median wall and then slid across 4 lanes of highway traffic. I was late getting to my Uhaul appt., the rental car they approved took 2hrs. to go through and they shipped my car back up to the dealership because they could not repair the major damage. I just want some serious advice on what my next steps should be?? I am luck to be alive. NOTE: I own a 2002 Infiniti Qx4.
A: If no one was hurt and they pay for the damage, that should be enough for you. If you feel that they are dangerous, and that this was not merely a random mistake anyone could make, then, after you receive whatever money or repairs they owe you, report them to whatever government agency licenses them (bureau of auto repair, for example).
If anyone has hurt or they do not pay for the damage, get a lawyer.
Q: Which is better for people with larger and taller bodies? An Infiniti QX4, or a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Infinit-2002
Jeep-2003
A: JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE
