Q: Does anyone know of a lift kit that will fit a 1997 Infiniti QX4?
I have 18 inch chrome rims and I want to put a larger tire on the rim. To do this I need to get about 1 to 2 inches lift.
A: nope no fit
Q: How to changte brakes on a 1997 Infiniti Qx4?
I need HELP!!! Changing front and rear brakes. Diagrams pics welcome
A: You do need help!
Infiniti requires the use of an on car brake lathe to machine the rotors before installing new brake pads. This eliminates the chance of developing pulsation from too much run out off the brake rotors. I've had customers come in to the dealer upset that their brakes were noisy, only to find after market brake pads.
You should not be messing around with your brakes. If you can't remove two bolts to replace your pads you are a danger to not only yourself but everyone else driving on the street. Brakes are a safety item, this is why there are professional mechanics with thousands of dollars invested in tools.
Q: just got a 1997 infiniti qx4, the service engine soon light came on. they said its the EVAP or Knock sensor?
I thot it was cos the gas cap wasnt properly replaced when I got some gas, and wanted the mechanic to turn off the check light but he kept insisting he needs to change the knock sensor, pls share your experience if u've had one
A: It's BS if you did not install the gas cap properly it will set a code and turn the light on for the EVAP system.(Evaporative emmision control system)
Q: 1997 infiniti qx4 4wd for $2490. Is this a good deal?
i found this truck in a dealer for this price. The truck comes with a rebuilt title and the dealer said it might need some suspension work. The interior (all leather) is in excellent condition and the exterior just needs the front bumper painted. Is it worth it and will I have any problems with the rebuilt title? I have a 1999 subaru legacy that had a salvage title because it was damaged but my dad is a auto body repair man so we fixed it and I havent had any problems. Ive had that car for 6 years now. Is it worth it or will I have to put in a lot of extra money to get it fixed?
A: You can go to ww.kbb.com and see what its worth.
It is a good deal. That blue books for 4500-5000
Q: I touched the POWER CONTROL WIRE to GROUND on accident made a spark and now my stereo doesn't work?
i was installing a aftermarket stereo in my car and i accidently touched ground to the power control wire when hooking it up made a little spark and now it wont work? i checked the fuse and it wasn't it. i own a 1997 infiniti qx4 what should i do?
A: If you are talking about the blue amplifier remote on/ power antenna lead you probably smoked a transistor or copper circuit trace in the head unit. It is probably repairable but not by the average person unless you know how to properly solder small components and can follow the traces across the PCB in the head unit I would either buy a new one and be more careful next time or have the current one repaired.

A: if you want a car that will last and give you good gas mileage go with the honda accord. you will benefit from saving on gas and on mileage. hondas are real expensive nowadays like bmw's and mercedes for a brand new one and as for the price listed, i would bargain with the guy and say you only have $4000. you have to be real good with bargaining to get it for $4000. keep bargaining and stick to your story of you have alimited cash or you could take your business elsewhere. in the end the customer always wins. lol good luck on your first car and hope u do buy the honda accord.
