I am replacing the factory amps and I need to know what kind of amp to get. I am completely bypassing the Bose amps and am running low-level outputs from my aftermarket head unit. I have heard that the bose speakers are rated at different OHM's than most speakers are. Thanks.
A: Factory Bose speakers are 2 ohm in this car.
You might want to replace them with ones that will handle more power.

Car has a little over 85,000 miles on it; last time I had the oil changed, the place I went to checked the trans fluid as part of some basic diagnostic service and said that the trans fluid was "really murky". The owners manual doesn't say whether or not the trans fluid is considered a "lifetime fill" thing.
A: I have always said if it ain't broke,leave it.An auto box fluid goes in a nice shade of red,but soon goes quote murky due to clutch pack wear etc.Providing there's no leaks nor ever been any,as in run low of fluid,just top it as necessary.My theory is everything wears the same,so put in new thick oil on a few wornish parts soon shows the cracks,Good luck

My 2000 Infiniti I30 shift gear locked up at Parking(P) and brake tail light won't light when I step on brake pedal.
What can go wrong? The engine starts and runs well. I can
press gear release button to shift to D to drive the car without brake light. It locked up again after I stop and shut off engine.

A: check the fuse and use a volt meter to see if theres a short on the brake light. coz the same happed on my 2001 maxima and turned out somehow the brake lights wires were melted and shorted
first check all the fuses, then take the brake lights fuse out and see if it works and also with the fuse check for a short on the brake light using a multi meter

A: This is one that is hard to answer because it depends on how much sanding has to be done..Any kind of prep is more..If it is a quick sand and spray type job,then you should be able to get a real good Base coat/Clear coat done for about 1500.00...
You could have it done with a enamel paint and save a little money..That is what cars used to be painted with..You just have to keep it waxed regularly,to keep it from fading and cracking..
An excellent enamel paint job could be as low as 1000.00..

i went to a muffler place and they showed me or "said" they showed me that the "cheap(150)" catalytic converter which is the big one, was okay... and the one that didnt work was a little one which is like a thousand bucks... and i dont understand bc the code said that the one that wasnt working was (b2 cat) which i thought meant bank 2, which i thought was the big one in the back....

A: This has been my experience every time I have changed the trans oil. Within weeks, something else happens to the transmission. I have talked to several transmission specialists who have told me, that unless the oil is absolutely burnt, just add and do not replace or change it. This has happened to me on more than one make and model both domestic and foreign. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Okay, This car is in great condition.. Everything work, including the stereo/radio..But when I bought it,, I didn't think about checking the cdplayer.. It takes my cd's but reads them as error and ejects them back out.. Does anyone know what could be causing this?? I bought the cd's brand new from Walmart.. COuld that have anything to do with it?? OR is my cd player no good and what can I do to fix it and how much would it cost? Or is there something simple I can do to fix the error that it is reading to me.
A: I had an acura that did the same thing. I had to keep ejecting it and put it back in. Sometimes it took several tries for it to start reading. The problem is probably the laser is not lined up correctly after years of use. Unfortunately it needs to be repaired but is expensive. Instead of gettin it fixed I suggest getting an Ipod which would cost about the same as repairing the cd player. You can play the Ipod through the car stereo.
