Q: what are some good cheap performance ugrades for a 1992 infiniti g20?

thank you jp for that info and i figured id start with intake as the stock airbox really robs airflow to the motor but does anyone know if i can make my own intake with maybe some large hose and an aftermarket high-flow air filter simply to eliminate the airbox? when i took out my air filter and lifted the lid to the airbox while reving the motor by hand it sounded alot better!!! i heard that "throaty" sound that jp had refered to. is making my own ok or will it hurt more than help? also can i put a turbo on this motor? (SR20DE) instead of buying the turboed version of this motor? (SR20DET)
A: Yes you can buy a turbo kit for the G20. I would check out the sponsors on http://forums.nicoclub.com. They also have a very good Infiniti section. I have seen G20's turbo'ed and I must confess, I like them better than the Sentra. The SR20DE is a very robust motor that takes well to turbo chargers.
